Recently, the Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL) in Brazil released an Official Letter 429/2023 to guide the acceptance of test reports abroad of some specific products under Act 7280.
With the letter, it is confirmed that from now on all test reports, no matter it is done in Brazil or abroad, must comply with the Act 4083 requirements, including the CoO (Country of Origin) and traceability information of the sample. Which means the test report issued by third-party laboratory from abroad will only be accepted by ANATEL after obtaining OCD’s validation and agreement to carry out the test.
